New Look 2008 Kiev

This year as well, Fotina, one of Ukraine’s leading companies in the Professional Haircare sector, galvanized the attention of a whole host of professional visitors during the New Look 2008 Trade Exhibition which took place in Kiev from 16 to 18 October 2008. They presented a preview, exclusive for the Ukraine market, of Barex brand products by Barex Italiana, one of the world’s most renowned producers.

Each of the three days was devoted to a particular period of the modern era, that witnessed the technological development of the beauty industry and the art of hairstyling merge inseparably with Barex Italiana’s history.

This captivating travel through time catapulted the numerous visitors firstly into the rebellious 60s, the period when the Barex brand was born. Then off into the dazzling 70s and the irresistible 80s and 90s that saw the development of Barex products abreast of the most important styles and fashion trends of the era.

On 17 October in front of a huge audience, Barex stylists and technicians delivered an original master class entitled “Barex images and characters” including lots of showmanship. The spectators could really appreciate the splendid luster and intensity of the color range «Joc Color Line» and the majesty and brilliance of the hair, achieved using Barex styling products, unique of their kind. The clothing for the show was kindly supplied by the design studio of Larisa Balunova a rising Byelorussian designer.

The three day event closed with a master class on “hairstyling for evenings and weddings” held by the internationally famous stylists, Lilia Lapakas e Svetlana Lotaryova. They rewarded the large Barex audience with an unforgettable show, quintessence of fashion, emotion and creativity.
